A common mistake you make is saying: "The people is"
In English, we say: "People are". How can you remember?
There is a song by The Doors that goes:
People are strange
When you're a stranger.
Faces look ugly
When you're alone.
People seem wicked
When you're unwanted.
Streets are an evil
When you're down.
